Yaw is the Managing Director and leads the organization by providing both strategic direction and operational supervision to the team of both technical and administrative personnel.
Prior to his current role, he was the West African Regional Coordinator of Events and Projects International (EPI) a wholly owned Ghanaian company, which organizes exhibitions and mining and power sector events. He bore responsibilities central to the success of the group’s flagship event - the West African Mining and Power Exhibition and Conference acclaimed to date as the biggest industry event for the West African sub region. He worked with EPI from 2001 to 2006.
As a multifaceted manager, Yaw serves as a director of Kros Ghana Limited, a company that provides business development and market entry support services to companies keen on investing in Ghana. Kros Ghana partnered with CWC of the United Kingdom to deliver the first Ghana Summit for Oil, Gas and Power in 2010 at the capital Accra. Currently, over 400 delegates of major global oil and gas players attend this summit, which is held annually. He is also a Director of Pelfaco Ghana Limited.
His responsibilities see him constantly engaged in building and managing key relationships at governmental and institutional levels as well as with international bodies operating in Ghana. He is passionate about bridging the gap between international investors and business opportunities in Ghana.
Yaw holds a Diploma in Journalism from the Ghana Institute of Journalism and is a member of the Institute of Public Relations (IPR) UK. He also holds Master’s Degree in International Public Relations with Distinction from the Cardiff University in Wales, UK.
Roy is our Business Development Advisor and leads all our business development and local content activities in the oil and gas industry. He has an extensive understanding of the regulatory regimes and business dynamics of the Oil and Gas Sector across Africa. And has led projects in various countries across Africa including; Ghana, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Senegal and Namibia. His experience and interactions with various industry players spans across Africa, Middle East, Asia and America.
Roy started his career as a Business Support Officer with the British Council and was involved in various social development and enterprise projects including The Challenge Reality TV Show. He subsequently worked as Business Development/Oil and Gas Analyst with Oliver Kinross in the United Kingdom before joining Menergy International as Commercial and Business Development Manager in 2011. He has also worked in advisory capacity with various industry related organizations including Allied Oil, Mansa Group, Investa Capital and OAL. He brings a mix of energy and passion with business development and project Management expertise from his decade long experience.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from University of Ghana and a Master Degree in Oil and Gas Management (Distinction) from University of Plymouth. He is a member of the UK Energy Institute, Certificate from the Chattered Institute of Marketing (CIM) UK, Interactive Marketing Award from Manchester Metropolitan University MMC Learning. Roy recently received the Gender Advocacy Charge Award from the President of the Ghana in January 2017.
